The museum hosts Stephen R. Little for the October 19, 2017 “Coffee at the Museum”.

Mr. Little, author of “Tunnels, Nitro and Convicts” will speak on the impact of the railroad on the development of Burke County and the region. During the mid-nineteenth century transportation throughout the region was difficult.  With their formation, construction, and operation, the railroad brought profound social, economic, and political change to the region often determining the pace of economic development of communities.

The Public is invited to attend this free event.  Refreshments will be served.
